The Repetition Spell
Say it often enough and it starts to feel true.
What it is
You repeat a key message or phrase. The illusory truth effect: repetition makes things feel true, because familiar statements are easier to process, and ease feels like truth.
Spot it
A slogan you can recite but have never actually verified.
Counter it
Ask: “Have I seen evidence, or have I just heard it a lot?” Look for one independent source. If you can’t find one, file it as an advert, not a fact.
